El formato PDF (Formato de Documento Portátil) facilita compartir documentos entre diferentes computadoras sin alterar su apariencia o perder propiedades de formato.
La empresa Adobe introdujo el PDF para uso público y se lo agradeceremos por siempre. Pero Adobe Acrobat con su tamaño y velocidad, puede no ser la mejor opción para crear, abrir, leer y editar archivos en este formato. Hay opciones más rápidas y ligeras que permiten el manejo de los documentos.

Foxit Reader, por ejemplo, es rápido, ligero y seguro. Permite hacer comentarios en los documentos y correr JavaScript en ellos. Existen otras alternativas como PDF-XChange, Nitro PDF o incluso el lector por defecto de Mac: Preview.

Si tu computadora no es precisamente la más veloz y no necesitas la amplia cobertura de servicios que ofrece Adobe Acrobat Reader, estos lectores de documentos PDF te facilitarán las cosas.
