How to Activate Spam Assassin in cPanel
These instructions will explain how to activate antispam tools located in cPanel.
What is SpamAssasinTM?
SpamAssasin is a mail filter that identifies spam. It uses a diverse range of tests to detect unsolicited bulk e-mail. The tests apply to e-mail headers and content to classify e-mail using advanced statistical methods.
How does it work?
SpamAssassin applies a label to the subject line of the e-mail that it considers to be spam. In cPanel you can adjust how aggressive SpamAssassin is at labeling e-mail as spam.
How to activate SpamAssassin
- At the Welcome Menu, on the Administration tab, click E-mail & Server Configuration.
- On the cPanel homepage click find the Mail category and click on SpamAssassin.
